          Early Life

           Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy, son of late Shri Gokula Chandra Satpathy and Smt. Harsha Mayee Satpathy was born in the year 1948, in the city of Cuttack, Odisha.

          6. His father, an academician, was the first Indian Registrar of Utkal University (1944-1949). Later, he joined the Education Department of the Govt. of Odisha and retired as the Director of Public Instructions (D.P.I.) schools and Chairman, Board of Secondary Education of the State.

          As a child, Dr.

          Satpathy did well in academics and was a diligent and conscientious student. Apart from academics, he had an avid interest in literature, music, sports and the occult sciences which continue to be integral parts of his life.
